Pushing trucks in the right direction
The UK’s retail chains are constantly looking for ways to improve their image and update their many stores. An area of concern is control and waste management of cardboard and secondary packaging from retail areas. Methods currently used, which include roll cages and metal roll cages are unsightly and difficult to handle. Mailbox understand these demands and have used their design and manufacturing capabilities to offer a suitable solution.
Designing often necessitates considering the aesthetic, functional, and economic dimensions of both the design and design process. It may involve considerable research, thought and redesign. Following this ethos, Mailbox carried out substantial research to ascertain the retail markets precise needs, discussing possible solutions. The solution involved Mailbox manufacturing a plastic moulded truck fitted with a newly designed aesthetic but functional moulded plastic handle. These ergonomically designed handles raised the truck height taking the strain out of pushing and improved the overall truck manoeuvrability.
The handle can also be retro fitted giving customers the flexibility to improve to their existing stock of trucks.
